Volunteer Park, Seattle (2009)


Located in an office trailer, the installation displayed stories with a global perspective on drinking-water use while the performance grew out of conversations with Seattle Public Utility staff. The Stranger reviewed Waterlines here.

Contractors in Jerusalem prepared to build a 20-mile pipeline to bring water to the area. Hidden beneath the construction site were ancient tunnels to an underground spring. Heavy machinery used to build the pipeline crushed the tunnels below.
